Until now I experienced only rare occasions to compose purely musical concert music. Normally my music is combined with some sort of theatrical or filmic elements which automatically assigns the music a function. In pure concert music there is no function, the music carries itself as the content. Despite this difference one is suddenly confronted with a much longer and deeper history, the history of western art music. To put oneself into this line of giant composers requires either complete ignorance or complete genius. I consider myself being somewhere in the middle which is - besides my anyway existent intensive multiple interests - the main reason why I went for mixed media approaches. This path is still very open (not commercial film though, I'm talking of the more experimental styles). That is the reason why there isn't much music written by me for the concert hall. But it exists.
